Alzheimer’s Disease – 6 Components of Brain Health

March 7, 2025

When it comes to reversing Alzheimer’s Disease and improving brain function, there are 6 components you want to focus on.

These include:

  1. Toxins
  2. Nutrients
  3. Stress
  4. Structure
  5. Infections
  6. Signaling

In the video below, I’ll explain each of these 6 components of brain health in more detail, and I’ll also share a single tip you can implement to improve each component.

Here’s a brief overview of the 6 tips from each of the components:

  1. Toxins – take your shoes off at the door, and open your doors and/or windows for an hour every day (with how cold it is this time of year, I think using multiple air filters is a good option too)
  2. Nutrients – start seeking lower-carb alternatives to some of the foods you eat most regularly
  3. Stress – prioritize social time… we are social animals… we need connection to others
  4. Structure – determine if you have sleep apnea, and if you do have it, follow the treatments for it
  5. Infections – brush and floss twice daily, no exceptions
  6. Signaling – exercise… the key is to do more than whatever you’ve been doing

This is information is coming straight from the book “Reversing Alzheimer’s” by Dr. Heather Sandison.

I encourage you to pick up your own copy of the book if you or a loved one are suffering from memory loss, dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease.

It’s a fabulous resource!

This is my first video in this series about how to improve cognitive function and reverse Alzheimer’s Disease, so stay tuned for more videos!
